We are proud to present Solos and Duos for Guitar by the guitar duo of Colin McAllister and Derek Keller, playing several works by both modern masters and young emerging composers.

This duo has recently sprung up from the fertile grounds of the University of California, San Diego, now performing throughout the West coast corridor from San Francisco to Mexico City. Starting with a rare piece by the famous American minimalist, Steve Reich, these pieces explore texture and timbres from straight-up acoustic guitar by European Franco Donatoni, to the extended techniques of spectralist Tristan Murail, a piece for acoustic guitar and tape by Chris Mercer, a witty, innovative piece by Helmut Lachenmann, and an interactive piece for electric guitar and computerized effects by the duo's own Derek Keller.
